Alpventures® American D-Day Beaches Tour covers the most significant battlefield sites in the American landing sectors of UTAH and OMAHA beach. We will spend a full day visiting sites at UTAH Beach, including an exciting visit to the Carentan Historical Center located at "Dead Man's Corner", where we will visit the D-Day Experience (C-47 simulator), museum, and 3-D film. Next, we continue to the town of Ste. Mere Eglise and La Fiere Causeway, where you will see the drop zones of the 82nd Airborne Division. We will take in the bunkers, monuments and memorials located at Sainte Marie-du-Mont (UTAH beach) and more. At OMAHA Beach, we will start by visiting Pointe du Hoc, where the U.S. 2nd Ranger Battalion scaled the 100 foot cliffs against all odds to capture the German gun battery. Next, we continue to Vierville-sur-Mer (Dog Green Sector - Omaha Beach), where the 29th Infantry Division suffered horrible casualties on D-Day. Our last stop of the tour will be the Normandy American Cemetery, to pay our respects to more than 9,000 war dead.

Our 2 day / 1 night tour begins and finishes in Bayeux (or Caen), Normandy, France; and is available for small groups up to 6 guests per tour.
